MOFCOM Scholarship Benefits
The MOFCOM Scholarship will provide the recipients with the following benefits:
- Exemption from tuition fees, teaching materials fees, research and investigation fees, English teaching subsidies, and graduation thesis guidance fees.
- Free access to on-campus accommodation.
- Living subsidy: 36000 RMB/Year for each master’s degree student; 42000 RMB/Year for each PhD student.
- Settlement allowance: 3000 RMB/person.
- Comprehensive medical insurance in China.
- Free round-trip international air ticket: 1 time for students studying for one year; for those studying for two years or more, 1 time of free round-trip international air ticket plus n-1(n for the number of schooling years) times of round-trip air ticket for returning home to visit relatives.
- All degree students are required to participate in the annual review, and those who pass the academic performance assessment can continue to enjoy the full scholarship in the second year.
- Other expenses are managed by the Ministry of Commerce or the school and won’t be distributed to the students. The Ministry of Commerce only provides funding for students within the academic system. The student whose graduation is postponed will not continue to receive funding.
Eligibility Requirements for the MOFCOM Scholarship 2027
The following are the minimum eligibility requirements for the MOFCOM Scholarship:
- The Applicants must be healthy non-Chinese citizens under the age of 45 (born after Sept. 1, 1976) from developing countries.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or above with three or more years of work experience.
- Applicants with a professional learning or working background related to the program and still in service will be preferred.
- Must be serving as public officials at the department level or above (or corresponding levels) of the government of the home country, senior management personnel of various institutions and enterprises, or the academic backbone of universities and scientific research institutions.
- The Applicants must be proficient in English and utilise English for the specialty course study. (Reference Standard: IELTS 6.0 or above in overall band score, or new TOEFL 80 or above).
- All applicants shall be in good physical and mental condition. A health certificate or medical report issued by a local public hospital is required. The Applicants should have no diseases prohibited by China’s Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Laws and Regulations from entering China or from staying in China for a long time, including severe hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, other chronic diseases, mental disorders or infectious diseases, which may have a serious impact on public health. Applicants who are in the period of recovery from a major surgery, the onset of the acute disease, or who have severe disabilities will not be considered. Females during pregnancy are not allowed to participate in training in China. If the Applicant becomes pregnant while studying in China, she will be expelled from school.
- Students who have studied in China or have been admitted to other Chinese government scholarship programs are not allowed to apply.

Step-by-Step Application Process for the MOFCOM Scholarship 2027
The following simple and easy application process will help you to apply for this scholarship:
Step 1: Visit the “CSC Study in China” website and click “Scholarship Application for Students” at https://www.campuschina.org/. Register an account through [CREATE AN ACCOUNT] and log in with your account.
Step 2: Input Personal Details. Click “Edit Personal Details” and finish inputting personal details by filling in all the information, verifying and saving the information. After the completion of this section, return to the previous page by clicking “Finish” and start filling in your application information.
Step 3: Select the correct “Program Category”.
Please select Program Category “Type A”. (Only for applicants of the MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Program).
Step 4: Input the correct Agency Number.
Your Agency Number is: 00010. (Only for applicants of the MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Program). The Program Category and Agency Number are directly matched; both are mandatory for online application. Scholarship-receiving authorities (or application processing authorities) will inform the program category and agency number of candidates who are qualified to apply.
After inputting the agency number, the matched agency name will automatically show on the page. As the Program Category and Agency Number are directly matched, application processing authorities will not receive your online application if the program category or agency number is incorrect.
Step 5: Input Application Information
Next, please move on to the section “Language Proficiency and Study Plan” and upload “Supporting Documents” as requested, then click “Submit” to complete the application. When applicants of the “Type A” application choose the “Preferences of Institutes”, the system will automatically match the available universities according to the selected “Student Category, Preferred teaching language and Major Applying for”. Step 6: Once submitted, amendments cannot be made to “Personal Details” and “Application Information”. Before the application is processed by the processing authorities, an applicant can revoke the submitted application by clicking “Withdraw” and editing the application. After revoking the application, the applicant must submit it a second time after re-editing, or the application will not be processed. Once the application is processed, it cannot be revoked.
Step 7: Click” Print the Application Form” and download the form.
